GRP Fiberglass Flat Roof

Benefits of GRP – Fibreglass Roofing
What is GRP Roofing?
GRP stands for glass-reinforced plastic, commonly referred to as fibreglass. A GRP roof comprises several layers that form a laminate, creating a watertight layer once set. The process begins with applying a polyester resin to the roof deck. This layer is then strengthened by adding a chopped strand matting made from glass fibres. A second layer of resin is applied to fully soak the matting, with a catalyst included in the resin to ensure proper curing. Finally, a topcoat is applied to complete and protect the system. The topcoat can also be upgraded with slate grit to create a slip-resistant walkway finish.
A GRP flat roof offers a strong and lightweight alternative to traditional lead or felt roofing options.
